Excel Form Password Solution
Ok so I recently got asked by a friend to help him access an Excel worksheet of his that he had password protected but couldn’t remember the password for. After a quick google I found a site which allowed me to download a visual basic plugin for excel which claimed to do what I needed it to. However, for some reason my version of excel didn’t like the plugin.
So after a bit more searching I found this solution posted for if you have forgotten your password. It basically runs a macro by the looks of it and gives an alternative password that you can use to unlock the sheet. As far as I am aware it only works on a file that you can open, but just can’t edit. There are some files that you need a password to open at all and i’m not sure how to bypass this.

Crack Sheet Protection Password
This routine provides a password to unprotect your worksheet. However, it may not give you the original password that was used.
Open the workbook that has the protected sheet in it. Hit Alt+F11 to view the Visual Basic Editor. Hit Insert-Module and paste this code into the right-hand code window:

Close the VB Editor window. Navigate to the worksheet you want to unprotect. Hit Tools-Macro-Macros and double-click PasswordBreaker in the list.
